Audience engagement is my goal with these posts. The pieces should have connected threads as they’re coming from the person’s experiences, though each should be able to stand on its own as well. Ideally each post will make you laugh, think and question, and hopefully go about your work a little more thoughtfully.

My professional background as a high school English teacher, department supervisor, building principal and district superintendent as well as my personal experiences as a father of three boys and husband of one wife all factor into my writing, as do my interests in sports, pop culture from the ’70s-’90s, hard rock and diabetes management.

The main topics center on leadership, whether for educators, parents, athletes, corporations or otherwise, and how we each have the opportunity to make life better for those in our circles.
